Facility & Vineyards
Founded in 2002, The Monterey Wine Company is large enough to embrace technology on a commercial level, while still maintaining an emphasis on personal touch and hands-on wine crafting.
A World-Class Facility
Conveniently located two hours from Santa Clara, Santa Barbara and Kern Counties, our custom crush processing comes from all directions, with a focus on our backyard appellations in the Monterey and San Luis Obispo Counties. We strive to provide all the tools you will need to make your dream wine a reality.
Capacity
We offer cooperage ranging from 900 to 56,000 gallons and develop programs for 20 to over 3,000 tons of crush and 500 to 250,000 cases of bottling.
Reliability
Our facility offers state-of-the-art humidified and temperature controlled barrel rooms, case goods storage, bottling hall and a well-equipped quality assurance laboratory.

Our Vineyards
While Monterey Wine Company concentrates on winery operations, we are fortunate to enjoy close relationships with growers in Monterey County's most prized appellations. These relationships allow us to develop grape or bulk wine delivery arrangements for our clients' programs.
Our "House Brand", POPPY, insures that our winemaking staff stays in touch with seasonal growing conditions -- they visit our contracted vineyards regularly and keep a finger on the pulse of each vintage.
